Alpinists Jess Roskelley and Scott Coldiron climbing the volatile spray ice that forms around the amphitheatre of the 187-foot Palouse Falls in southeast Washington State during a rare zero-degree cold snap. Spray ice, formed from frozen mist from the neaby falls, is sketchier than normal water ice as it is aerated and poorly adhered to the rock, making it difficult or impossible to protect while climbing. Coldiron called it, "one of those things that's fun to do... ONE time!"
